Description: Learn to “paint” with glass. In this introduction to the glass medium, you will learn how to “fuse” glass pieces and particles into a single solid composition. We’ll be making 2 pieces with cut colored glass and granular “frit” on this day.

Skill Level: Beginner & Continuing

Description: For those who want to delve deeper into glass fusing, this is a six-session course for adults who want to learn the more advanced methods of working with glass. Techniques will emphasize grinding and sawing; glass casting; sugar frit paste; glass weaving; texturizing; dichroic; and pate de veurre. Students will also learn how to prepare slump molds and firing techniques.

 

Notes: Class fee includes glass and frit used in class. Students may want to bring a pair of gloves to wear for the handling of glass edges. Each student will need their own set of basic tools which may be purchased at the studio at a student discount.

A $100.00 non-refundable deposit required at time of registration. The balance will be payable when the class begins.
